It’s been so long since I sat down to write a blog post. So much of my life is different; so much of the world is different. Also, I realized I skipped WordPress 5.0 entirely. Oh well, on to 6.0!

My brain situation has improved over the last couple years. Checkups have been good and on June 27, 2021 I finally felt like I was (mostly) back to normal. It was that night I successfully hosted an improvised role-playing game session with an old family friend. That was a major moment for me because I’d still been struggling with speaking and keeping information mentally organized. To host a game session without any planning and have it be an engaging experience was a boon for my mental self.

I’ve been reflecting a bit on what I want this blog space to be going forward. Although I’m not sure quite yet, I am considering using it to record my upcoming graduate school experience and to showcase some of my storytelling in my Dungeons & Dragons games. I’ve been playing a lot of D&D since the COVID pandemic happened. It has been quite therapeutic for me.

All that to say, between scholarship and games there may be a bit more variety of blog posts going forward. We’ll see how much writing I’ll get to do outside of work and school. 🙃
