You’re invited to study fake news, data privacy, social media, and more over the next five weeks. Our curriculum is serving two groups of people. There are cohorts of faculty, staff, and students, meeting on OU campus to engage with these topics face-to-face. Additionally, there’s an online cohort studying in an asynchronous, self-directed manner. You’re invited to participate online in this capacity. Alternatively, jump into our curriculum to explore the collections of resources that are driving our discussion and study.

If you’re interested, fill out the following form so I can add you to my mailing list for the newsletter that’s driving the online scholarship. Here’s an example of the newsletter you can expect to receive.

As part of your participation each week you’ll be encouraged to reflect on the readings and other materials you explore. In fact, if you’re willing, you’re invited to submit reflections to this form (more information will be provided in the newsletter each week). I’m collecting responses from all participants to curate our ideas into a document for us to share amongst our campuses and our communities.

If you have any questions about any of this, don’t hesitate to contact me.

I recognize that #engageMOOC is currently in session. Overlapping with a much larger open course was not planned, especially one that’s covering much of the same content. No worries though. There might be individuals from both session who decide to double dip. 🙂
